Started with a card table and a dream. Now serving thousands of happy sippers.
It was a scorching July afternoon in 2019 when Maya Chen set up her first lemonade stand at the end of her driveway on Sunshine Lane. She was eight years old. Her lemonade sold out in 45 minutes.
By summer 2022, Maya β with the help of her parents β had turned that card table into a proper roadside stand with a dedicated following on the neighborhood app. By 2024, Sunny Sip Co. officially opened its first brick-and-mortar (well, wood-and-glass) stand in downtown Austin.
We still squeeze every lemon by hand. We still use Maya's original recipe. And we still sell out most days.
We source lemons from farms within 200 miles of Austin. Our cups and straws are compostable. We compost our rinds.
10% of all profits go back to Austin youth programs. We believe every kid deserves a shot at running something of their own.
No syrups, no concentrates, no shortcuts. Every batch is made the morning it's served. Leftovers get composted.
We're here to give you a moment of pure, uncomplicated happiness in a cup. That's it. That's the whole mission.
